We, being a Banking Company doing the business of Banking, are under statutory obligation to comply to the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and the rules made there under and the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India on ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) Policy.
Following documents are required for opening new account with our Bank as well as for existing Account holders from all our customers i.e. every Individual, every Proprietor, each Joint Account Holder / Partner / Director / Trustee / HUF member, each other authorized signatory:
Proof of identity: (any one of the following)
- Passport
- Election I.D. Card
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- ADHAR Card
- Government /Employers’ ID card
- Any Other Document to the Satisfaction of Bank.
Proof of Resident address: (any one of the following)
- Ration Card
- Electricity bill
- Telephone Bill
- Passport
- Driving License
- Any Other Document to the Satisfaction of Bank
Accounts of trusts & foundations
- Names of trustees, settlers, beneficiaries and signatories as per Trust deed / scheme with the latest copy of Schedule I – certified copy from Charity Commissioner or WB
- Certificate of Registration, if registered
- Any official document to identify the trustees, settlers, beneficiaries and those holding power of attorney with their addresses.
- Resolution of the managing body / trustees to open an account and to operate account
Recent Photograph (passport size) – two
The above identification procedure is applicable to new customers and also to all existing customers periodically.
We, therefore, request all our customers to ensure that the above documents along with the copies of (a) and (b) are provided to the branch where the accounts are maintained,. Documents (a) and (b) will be returned after verification, retaining the self attested copies.
To serve you better, it is important that the Bank has record of your current and correct addresses so that Bank communication could reach you. Please ensure your address on our record are current and correct. In respect of accounts other than those of individuals, respective constitutional documents viz. certified copies of Memorandum and Articles of Association, Certificate of commencement of business, Trust Deed, Resolution etc, as the case may be, are required to be submitted.
As per prevention of Money Laundering ( PML) Act, 2002 , whomsoever directly attempts to indulge or knowingly is a party or is actually involved in any process or actively connected with the proceeds of crime and projecting it as untainted property shall be guilty of offence of money laundering.
